Model yachting refers to the building of model yachts that are used for racing. Model yachts are not essentially only built for the purpose of competitive racing, the miniature model of the original vessel involves exquisite workmanship. They are intricately designed and displayed at many famous museums. Each and every rope, the pulley and other details are reproduced while making the model yachts.

Model sailing yachts were the first to be used for racing in small water bodies. But the intricate designs and the elaborate fittings hampered the flow of the boats and they needed a greater draught to overcome the problem. For these reasons modern model yachts have fin keels that are of 20% more deeper draught. Also the riggings and the fittings are done with absolute simplicity ignoring the intricacies of design.
Model yacht racing is also called toy cruising.

The model yachts that are used for racing are controlled by different techniques:
1. Sail driven yachts
2. Mechanical sailing controls
3. Weighted rudder method
4. Main sheet balance method
5. Wind Vane method
6. Radio Control

Radio control is the easiest way of commandeering the model from a distance. It can be used from many locations. Typically two controls are provided for sailing yacht models, a general–purpose small servo for rudder control and a specialized sail winch to draw in the mainsheet and jib. Motorized craft control rudder and throttle, and perhaps other functions such as reversing, lighting, and mechanical novelties. Other radio controlled watercraft hobbies include the operation and battle engagement of scale model warships, and various high speeds racing crafts driven by powerful engines.

Assuming the title of Jahaaz 3.0, the NFS Version, the track and criteria have been inspired from the famous car-racing game, Need For Speed (NFS). Drag, Sprint and Circuit – yes, this is what the track would be comprised of in this edition. With diversified anticipation and diversified boat designs, Jahaaz has been serving as an excellent platform for the implementation of novel technical ideas in the field of RC boating.“The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails.”
