Boat shows are social events that occur once in a year or for a stipulated duration of a week. Boat shows offer a platform for cross country interactions wherein boat traders and businessmen all across the globe can contribute their ideas to better the global yachting industry. Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes is a famous and unique trade event. From the 12th-17th September the Cannes Boat show will showcase a wide variety of products ranging from water sports to luxury yachts. It offers a wide range of 10 to 18 metre boats. The show welcomes 50,000 visitors each year among which 10% are the industry professionals and 400 are the exhibitors. The major highlight of the show is the shipyard Monte Carlo Yachts that is going to launch its first yacht, MCY 76 at the Cannes International Boat Show on 7th September. The show offers unique opportunities to experience the boats on water, known as “sea trials”. Experience the magnificent luxurious yachts before purchasing them. Exhibitors showcasing their new vessels, products and services welcome visitors, yacht owners and future buyers to come and explore the sensation of sailing before making the purchase. Besides these, Yacht owners and buyers from around the world are awaiting the new vessels in the Vieux Port and pre-owned models in Port Pierre Canto.
The Monaco Yacht Show is considered to be the most prestigious show in the world of yachting. It brings together luxury yacht builders, brokers, designers, equipment suppliers, and service providers under one roof so that they can showcase the latest and greatest luxury yachts. It sees a sale of around 100 super yachts ranging in size from 25 to more than 90 meters in length. This makes the Monaco Yacht Show a premiere showcase for Super Yachts. The 2012 Monaco Yacht show is to be held at Port Hercules from 19th-22nd September. The event is promising to be bigger and better with more luxury super yachts designers and yacht builders exhibiting. It is said that over 500 exhibitors will be present their top quality products and services. It’s a unique opportunity for the top managers of leading international super yacht companies to meet and discuss the upcoming trends and changes in the yachting industry.
In January 1962 Fiera di Genova launched an international boat show on a small scale targeting a limited audience. Since then the Genoa boat show has grown to become a leading platform for the yachting industry. It has the widest range of nautical products. It has an extraordinary exhibiting area varying from 100,000 square meters of water basin surface to more than 200,000 square meters of pavilions and outdoor areas. The 52nd edition of the Genoa Boat show will be held at the Genoa Fair and Exhibition Centre from 6th to 14th October 2012. Taking part in the Show is truly a unique experience for anyone. Design, engineering and innovation will be among this year’s leading themes at the Show. For the first time ever, a special area will be set up at the pavilion where all sailing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet famous sailboat designers and talk about new materials, performances and design solutions. For the first time, this year children up to the age of 14, if accompanied by an adult, will be able to visit the Show for free throughout the nine days of the event.
